It was Aretha Franklin’s first time at number One on the Billboard Hit List. And when, back in 1967, she sang that song and beautifully expressed her need for, ‘just a little ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T, she touched a universal nerve.
- Just like Aretha, IMPACT ON-HOLD began in Detroit, and like her, we know a lot about respect. RESPECT is what we all want, and that includes the people calling your business. For them, respect begins at the very moment you press your ‘hold’ button. That’s when callers might expect to hear some nice music and on-hold messages and more about your products and services. Instead what they often get is a thick wall of silence. No on hold marketing messages, no music, just what Aretha might have called dead-air.’ That’s when callers begin to wonder if they’re still connected, or maybe they’ve been forgotten. Many just hang up and many of them won’t be calling back
- And, respect for your caller continues with the quality of the on hold messages they hear. Are they written in such a way as to show an understanding of and respect for, the caller’s likely needs. Is the copy on target. Does it show respect for not only the caller, but for your business?
- Nobody wants to keep the caller on hold for long so your marketing messages on hold have to be brief. And they have to be written with language that ‘reaches’ the caller quickly. Not loaded with industry jargon that doesn’t sell anything, and is very difficult to understand in the time available.
- And what about those recorded message on hold voices? Are they professional, pleasant, informative, and easy to listen to? Do the narrators really seem to understand what they’re saying, and did they get the on hold messages across? Did it seem they were really talking to your callers or just reading to them?
At Impact On-hold we know the importance of respect and we show it in the quality of our work and the dedication we bring to our efforts on behalf of our customers and their customers. We invite you to please give us a call or drop us an email. We’d appreciate the opportunity to create an IMPACT ON-HOLD system for your business.
